miniCLASS 01: PROTECT Your Home
How might you think more intentionally about the environment you’re responsible for?
Learn how preparation and awareness can help you recognize potential problems earlier, make better decisions and develop a more thoughtful approach to protecting yourself and your home.
You’ll explore:
- Recognizing and avoiding potential conflict
- Developing stronger situational awareness
- Observing and evaluating your environment
- Planning more intentionally for home security

miniCLASS 02: PROTECT Your Self
How does the individual develop the knowledge, safety and confidence to become more capable within the home environment (as well as away from home)?
Learn how safe firearm handling, handgun fundamentals and purposeful practice can help build the knowledge and confidence necessary to make a handgun a more familiar and responsibly understood personal-protection tool.
You’ll explore:
- Identifying your personal reasons for learning about firearms and personal protection
- Understanding essential firearm and handgun safety principles
- Developing the fundamentals necessary for more confident handgun shooting
- Connecting what you’ve learned to practical, responsible application
USCCA miniCLASS | Approximately 90 minutes
Start Time: 10:30am or 11:30am (depending on Classroom availability)
MEN ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE, TOO.
This session offers men an opportunity to better understand the firearms-learning experience from a woman’s perspective. Men can discover new ways to PROVIDE support and understanding to the women they love and protect.
Her confidence doesn’t have to look like yours. Understanding the difference can make you a better partner in her readiness.
miniCLASS 03: PROTECT Your Freedom
How might you ensure that your decisions under pressure, don’t unnecessarily cost you, the freedom you’re trying to protect?
Learn how understanding reasonable force, deadly force and the legal principles governing defensive actions can help you make more informed decisions about when force may — and may not — be justified.
You’ll explore:
- Understanding the distinction between reasonable force and deadly force
- Recognizing the rules that govern the lawful use of deadly force
- Understanding how defensive-force considerations can differ inside and outside the home
- Distinguishing the defense of people from the defense of property
